Art can be described as a production that was created from the emotions, feelings, and very soul of its creator. Ladies and Gentlemen, Shitter Art is amongst the truest of art forms, due to its completely unabridged and uncensored display. Perhaps a reason for the lack of censorship can be explained by the complete anonymity afforded the artists. Thus, the brash vulgarity and graphic obscenity, too, are extensions of each artist's desires and emotions.

There are currently two general forms of Shitter Art, and even a community discussion forum to accompany the two. The first form of Shitter Art we will discuss is Literary. This takes the form of stories, jokes, quotes, and riddles published in various moods by the author. Perhaps one should find one that is sexual in nature, or descriptive of the author's excrement. In rare cases, one might find a description so complete that it borders on scientific analysis.

The second form of Shitter Art we will be discussing is Visual. From graphic depictions of male, female, or abnormal genitalia to anatomical diagrams to murals of festive gatherings spawned by the fusion of fantasy and loneliness with boredom. Some are cartoonish, others are quite accurate, and still others can only be described as being Alien in nature. One might see a panorama of a Festival to an Unnamed God, or perhaps a simple portrait.

The third topic is the community discussion boards that are, like the Visual and Literary contributions, entirely anonymous. Most often accompanying an art submission, finished or not, are comments and critiques. Art is, always has been, and always will be, open to interpretation by each individual. The Shitter Community Forums allow for each artist to receive uncensored critique for his or her art.

A slowly but steadily growing interest began with the emergence of Shitter Classifieds. Those wishing to forego anonymity could post ads either declaring a want or offer to a service, along with tentative and limited contact information. Anyone who reads a newspaper is familiar with its Classifieds section.

Each Shitter Community consists of Visual and Literary Art, the Community Forums, and the various extras such as Classifieds contained in a single, closed latrine unit, such as a bathroom stall. A Shitter Community Sphere is the collection of Communities in a general area. Some are as small as a mall bathroom. Others as large as a county fairground, containing hundreds of portable latrines.

The evolution of an empty canvas into a full fledged community is dependent on the sphere in which the unit exists. Those predominantly displaying visual art might begin with a single picture, following which critiques are made. Then come more visual submissions and a discussion board. In contrast, those predominantly displaying Literary art might begin with a poem or story. A quote, even. The same general patterns follow, and the speed that a canvas grows to a community also depends on a multitude of factors.

In closing, Ladies and Gentlemen, Shitter Art should not be reviled as vandalism or crude utterances and depictions by an immature mind, but as artistic submissions into a world so abusive that they have been forced into repression for their unwillingness to censor their work. At the very least, let us approach Shitter Art with a new angle of perspective.
